Take Control of Your Path

December 2018

Here we are, coming to the end of 2018. Think of where you began this year and what came out of it, it seems like it all went through a blink of an eye yet we went through so much in this short time. Not to dable too much into Astrology, but Mercury will be going direct come December 6th. What does this mean? Well when Mercury is in retrograde, it makes us really question past decisions, our relationships, job, or anything that we are involved in at the time. When you come out of retrograde its a good time to reflect on just how much you have changed in the last six months. Our wants, needs, and the person that we think we want to become are always changing and this month will be a good time to reflect on that, especially with the new year right around the corner.

This month will definitely bring up the ambition to run off with a new idea, but be sure you are weighing out all of the pros and cons before doing so. Don't let this deter you from following your heart, but also have a game plan ready. Emotions could come up that give you a sense of defeat, but it will be up to you to make the move to look deeper into why you are having these emotions. The five of cups brings up the feeling of loss and regret, but that there are still ways to come up from this. You will have to face these emotions head on and get them resolved before you can move forward with any big plans, if you can't have this conversation with yourself, there may be no room for fulfillment.

Don't lose hope in your own values and what you see for your own life, just because it doesn't happen how you pictured it, doesn't mean it's not happening. Winter Solstice comes up on December 21st, a time where we ask the Sun to return and shine a little light on our path. This will also be a time where we are feeling more and more optimistic and feel like we may be headed in the right direction, remember that we all have our own strengths and weaknesses, but it is a good time to recognize these aspects of ourselves so that we can challenge ourselves.

Instead of a New Year's resolution, come up with a challenge for yourself. Put yourself out there, meet new people, and get out of your comfort zone to challenge yourself and your personality. Spend some time creating a vision board, meditating, or even step out for a Reiki treatment. Make a list of things that you want to bring into your life and see what you need to do to start checking these things off. If you did these things with me last year, take a look at what you created and see just how much your perspective has changed.

Overall, exit 2018 and enter 2019 with the vision that you are in control of your path.
